About Brandy Menahem

This research project aims to better understand adaptability in native New Mexican flora. Plants that are on the edges of a species’ range (peripheral populations) provide valuable comparisons to central populations for examining potential limits of their evolutionary adaptability. By analyzing data on peripheral population occurrence, fitness, functional traits, fecundity, and overall plant health, this study will help identify adaptive constraints and contribute to efforts to preserve biodiversity under global climate change.
