About Shaleena Flores
My research focuses on analyzing the research partnerships between NGOs/nonprofits and 3rd party research institutions such as universities. This will be done via sets of interviews with the NGOs/nonprofits in question. My hope is that by gaining the perspectives of NGOs/nonprofits that we can create better systems of research partnerships grounded in respect and efficiency while also drawing attention to important research goals that NGOs/nonprofits bring to academia. I am grateful to ASSURE, MMUF, and my faculty mentor, Dr. Fontenla, for support in this research.
