Project: Investigating Rural Healthcare Workforce Challenges and Opportunities: A Qualitative Examination of Rural New Mexican Clinicians and Administrators
About Adela Sena
This research project will be investigating rural healthcare workforce challenges and opportunities in recruiting and retaining rural health professionals in New Mexican communities. This will be investigated by conducting in-depth interviews of established clinical providers, health administrators, medical residents doing part of their residency in rural settings, and medical students doing rural rotations. This research is important because it will help contribute to improving healthcare access, enhancing the sustainability of rural health organizations, support economic development, and informing policy and practice.
