About Alyssa Gregory

I am extremely grateful to receive assistance from the ASSURE program that allows me to begin research on parasitic hairworms in crickets under the guidance of Dr. Ben Hanelt. This research will explore potential immune system benefits in crickets that are infected with hairworms compared to those that aren't, a phenomenon that may change the way we think about parasites and their consequences on their host. These findings could have huge implications for human health and help cure a range of autoimmune disorders.
