About Patricia Sotelo Chavira

This research focuses on sky islands, renowned for fostering evolutionary diversification. By analyzing genetic data from species across New Mexico’s sky islands, we aim to understand the genetic diversity, structure, and connectivity; as well as understanding how these populations have evolved in response to environmental pressures. This research is important to me as it allows me to contribute to the preservation of these unique ecosystems.
