I am helping investigate how prdm3, prdm16, and bcl9 interact to regulate canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling during craniofacial cartilage development in zebrafish. Using CRISPR-Cas9 mutants and Alcian Blue staining, we assess how these gene variations affect chondrocyte organization and cartilage morphology, we are attempting to clarify the molecular mechanisms that underlie neural crest-derived cartilage differentiation.
