About Amber Wood
This project creates phylogenies for species in Mongolia to understand mammal diversification. It examines the influence of temperature, landscapes, climate shifts, and past climatic events on diversification, with a focus on host diversity and helminth specialization. This knowledge is valuable and intriguing to me because the understanding and management of diseases and health issues, in regions like Mongolia relates to a future career goal of working within veterinary medicine.
