About Elizabeth Galles
The stories we tell ourselves to explain ourselves to ourselves scaffold the illusion of our subjectivity. In an attempt to organize the information of our experience via a confabulated narrative, we paradoxically become estranged from reality. In my research, I am analyzing these confabulations because if we are anything, we are these stories that we compulsively tell ourselves to explain ourselves to ourselves.
