Receiving the ASSURE award and participating in research this year will provide me with valuable professional and academic experience. I will collaborate with Dr. Noah Painter-Davis to contribute to developing diversion practices in the First Judicial District of New Mexico. My primary aim is to investigate how District Attorney's offices can enhance communication regarding criminal legal system reform with various stakeholders, such as communities, universities, police, and behavioral health providers. This research holds significance for me as it aims to improve systems that support at-risk youth and reduce the likelihood of their incarceration.
