About Murphy John
I am a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of New Mexico, majoring in applied mathematics and statistics. I am excited to conduct research under the guidance of Dr. Yan Lin, focusing on Spotted Fever Rickettsiosis in the United States. The objective of this research project is to develop models that enhance our understanding and prediction of tick-borne disease patterns, particularly in communities that may face various health disparities. I look forward to growing academically and professionally with the support of the ASSURE program and hope to contribute sustainable solutions to real-world issues.
