About Renae Simonson

I am very interested in better understanding how stem cells create different types of neurons and glia in the fly brain. Starting with simpler models to study this very complex process allows scientists to discover genes and molecules that might have the same or similar functions in higher order organisms like humans. This can bring humanity a step forward in understanding how human neurodevelopmental disorders occur, which is what I would like to do as a scientist. Thank you ASSURE for assisting me in my work!
