About Janna Martinez

I’m honored to receive the ASSURE scholarship to support my continued research on the effect of changing water on the Bosque ecosystem. My research will focus on channel structure and sediment loads in the Rio Grande and the impact these have on algal communities. Aquatic ecosystems are often crucial to surrounding areas and I’m excited to collect and study samples from the Rio Grande to better understand this importance and the implications for future environmental issues.
