The National Science Foundation's (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) is one of the top competitive fellowship programs in the nation, designed to support outstanding graduate students pursuing research-based masters and doctoral degrees in STEM fields.

Ford Predoctoral Fellowships awarded to two UNM graduate students

Two Ph.D. students from The University of New Mexico, Gustavo García and Natalia Toscano, were awarded the Ford Foundation Predoctoral Fellowship. The Ford Fellowship will fund Toscano and García’s research toward exploring, analyzing, uniting and reimagining university diversity and community.

Eric Griego, who is currently a Visiting Scholar at the Latin American and Iberian Institute at The University of New Mexico, has been named a Fulbright Scholar to Spain.

A new chemical reaction: UNM, NSF, STEM and $1.95 million

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has just awarded a UNM cross-campus collaboration a $1.49 million grant. That money, plus $447,000 in matching funds from the Technology Enhancement fund of New Mexico, will fund the new “Teachers Organizing Diverse Opportunities Across a STEM Ecosystem,” (TODOS) project.
